Hi, I am David Valeti, I am, the Head Coach for the South County 7th Grade Football team. I am really excited about the opportunity to work with your kids. I have assembled an excellent coaching staff for our team this year, It consist of Myself ( I will be the Offensive Coordinator and oversee defensive schematics), Jonathan Reid, (who will be working with Running Backs and Linebackers), Mike Valeti, (who will be working with the Offensive and Defensive lines), Will Stanton, (who will be working with the receivers and defensive backs), and Casey Valeti, (who will be the defensive coordinator and also work with the Quarterbacks).
My coaching philosophy is simple, give the kids the tools they need to succeed and let them have fun. I am a big believer in fundamentals and using proper techniques. I believe that with this approach, the wins and losses will fall into the right place. I have a couple requests of you as parents and players, I would like every player to have their own water bottle. I would like to receive a text if you/your son will be unable to make it to a practice or if you will be considerably late. This will allow for me to adjust the practice schedule accordingly.
We have a small team, and I really look at it as an opportunity to get each of the players as much playing time as possible. If there is ever any question or concern please feel free to call me at any time and I will discuss any question or concern with you. I am really excited about this year and look forward to getting the ball rolling. I will try to post on this blog what we will be doing in the practice that day. Once again, I am really excited to getting the team started and season underway!
